What is Tippecanoe Lake Country Club and who owns the Club?
Tippecanoe Lake Country Club is a private, non-equity Club which has been developed for the purpose of enabling its members and their guests to enjoy outstanding golf and other social, dining and recreational amenities in a congenial atmosphere that fosters camaraderie and wholesome activity. The club is owned by the the Resident Golf Members. Although no shares are issued if the club was ever sold the profit of the sale would be divided equally between the Resident Golf Members.

What is the procedure to become a member of the Tippecanoe Lake Country Club?
Candidates are typically introduced to the club through a current member or they may contact our Chief Operating Officer. The signature of two sponsoring members are required on a  completed  membership application. The application should then be returned to the club. Upon approval by the Board of Directors, a welcome letter and member account number will be mailed to the candidate.

What types of memberships are available at the Tippecanoe Lake Country Club?

  • Young Executive Golf - Age 21-40
  • Regional Golf - If you live, rent or reside 60 miles away from the club
  • Young Executive Regional Golf - Age 21-35 and you live 60 miles from the club

When must the annual dues be paid?
Dues for any type of membership are annual but may be paid on a monthly basis, and are billed one month in advance. A discount of 2.5% is applied if dues are paid in the month of January.

Are dues ever increased?
Dues and assessments are reviewed by the Club’s Finance Committee and Board of Directors on an annual basis. Inflation and economic conditions sometimes cause us to raise dues. We do try to make every effort to make this club a value without sacrificing quality

Is there a food & beverage spending minimum at the Tippecanoe Lake Country Club? 
The annual minimum is $1,000 per year. $900 is required March through November and $100 is required in December. The club is open March through December.

Any other social events?
The Club hosts many other special events such as tournament dinners, dinner dances, holiday events, and special member parties throughout the year.

Can members reserve the Club for private parties or functions?
Certainly. The Club has several party rooms available and offers a wide variety of services. The Club is available on a reservation basis and hosts many functions. The Club has an experienced and professional full-time staff anxious to serve and assist you with all the details of your special event. Tippecanoe Lake Country Club offers superlative surroundings and spectacular views for your special event.

As a golf member, what does Tippecanoe Lake Country Club have to offer?
In addition to clubhouse activities, of course, is our challenging 5,850 yard, 18-hole golf course. The deceptively tough layout maintains much of its early charm from the time when the Club was established. From early spring to late fall, members play the well-manicured layout. Food and beverages are readily available at the Halfway House.

What are the fees for a guest? 
Guest Fee $50 per 18 holes 
 
Electric Cart Rental $17 per person per 18 holes $8.50 9 holes

Does a Golf Membership include privileges for my spouse and children?
Yes, we have a full calendar of men’s, women’s and junior programs as well as organized couples events throughout the season.

What activities are there for golfers?
The women’s leagues play on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the summer. Our Junior Program is offered during June and July. Couples twilight events are held twice a month and we hold special tournaments all season long for men, women and couples. The golf schedule is very active with events for every member and every skill level.

Are golf carts available to rent?
Yes, the Club has a fleet of electric carts as well as pull carts are available. A few  members prefer to walk the course and pull carts are complimentary.

What equipment does the Golf Shop carry?
The Golf Shop has a complete, up-to-date inventory of everything a golfer might need, including clubs, bags, balls, shoes and other supplies. We also carry several lines of sportswear and outerwear for men and women, and gift items such as bar ware. Special orders are always available, and you may charge your purchases to your member account or pay with cash, check or major credit cards. Friends and family are welcome to shop in the Golf Shop at any time throughout the season. We also offer professional club fitting free of charge when purchasing golf clubs.

What other features do you offer for your members?
Complete locker and shower facilities for both men and women as well as club cleaning and storage and complete practice facilities.

What kind of maintenance program do you have for the golf course?
The Club employs Ron Forks, a Class "A" G.C.S.A.A. Professional Golf Course Superintendent year-round. He and his staff have a complete course maintenance and improvement program and keep the course in top condition. The golf course has an underground irrigation system for fairways, tees and greens. There is a lot of emphasis placed on maintenance and landscaping to make play at the Club as enjoyable and relaxing as possible.

Are there other athletic activities besides golf?
The Club offers a pool for all to enjoy, and three outdoor tennis courts to round out its athletic offerings.

Who is eligible to become a member of Tippecanoe Lakes Country Club?
Membership is available to persons approved for membership who are sponsored by two current members and then approved by the membership committee as well as the board of directors. Tippecanoe Lakes Country Club does not discriminate based on race, color, age, sex, religion or national origin.

How does the Tippy Lake membership concept differ from other clubs and how does it benefit me, the Club member?
Tippecanoe Lake Country Club differs from most traditional private clubs. If you sign up for a three year commitment we waive the $7,200 initiation fees. Dues, which are typically charged monthly at many private clubs, can be payed upfront in the month of January and we will apply a 2.5% discount. The benefits are obvious, no expensive up front capital outlay. At Tippecanoe Lake Country Club we offer world class facilities and service plus a simple, straightforward and affordable membership plan—tremendous value to you, your company and/or your family.

Will my guests be able to use the Tippecanoe Lake Country Club facilities?
Yes, members are entitled to have guests use the Club facilities in accordance with the General Club Rules and Regulations, which will include limitations on the number of times a particular guest may use the golf course and sports complex facilities during a membership year. The sponsoring member will be responsible for any fees or charges incurred by his or her guests. Guest play may be limited on the weekends to insure play availability to members.

Will members have charge privileges at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club?
Yes, members will have charge privileges at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club in accordance with the general club rules and regulations. Statements will be due and payable upon receipt. Club credit will be required to be secured by a major credit card.

Walking is always permitted on the Tippecanoe Lake Country Club golf course.

Does Tippecanoe Lake Country Club require soft spikes and is there a dress code?
Yes, Tippecanoe Lake Country Club requires the use of approved soft spikes on the Golf Course and practice facilities. The dress code on the golf course and in the clubhouse will be appropriate golf attire. Shirts must have collars and Bermuda length shorts are permitted. Tennis attire is permitted in the Clubhouse.

Does my golf membership give me reciprocity with other clubs? 
Many private country clubs extend reciprocal privileges to members of Tippecanoe Lake Country Club. Reservations will be made through the Chief Operating Officer or Golf Professionals. Fees may be billed back to Tippecanoe Lake Country Club. Reciprocal Club privileges are subject to each club’s reciprocity policies. We do have a special arrangement with Morris Park Country Club where Tippy mambers can play five times during the year for only $20

Are Corporate Golf memberships available?
Yes, Tippecanoe Lake Country Club offers a Corporate Golf Membership plan that allows a company to designate two, three four or more employees to enjoy full family golf privileges at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club. The corporation may change any designee during the membership year one time at no transfer fee. Only actual operating businesses are eligible to acquire Corporate Golf membership.

Do members have a voice in how Tippecanoe Lake Country Club is managed?
For Tippecanoe Lake Country Club to be successful, the members must be involved. Because of this, our professional management staff will continually seek input from the membership. We will conduct membership satisfaction surveys on a annual basis. An Executive Committee is in place to advise management and to act as a liaison between the membership and management. Member input allows Tippecanoe Lake Country Club to make decisions based on what is best for the Club as a whole.

Are Monday outings held at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club?
Yes, outings are held at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club, but care is taken to limit the number of outings so as to not unduly stress the golf course.

Can a member choose not to renew his or her annual membership?
Yes, the member has the option not to renew his or her annual membership. If the member resigns during the membership year and are paying dues monthly, the balance of the year must be paid. If the dues were paid upfront in January, there will be no refund. The resigning member would also be responsible for any outstanding dues or charges to their account. Your membership at Tippy in on a annual basis. The cutoff date to cancel your membership January 1st.
